For 2024, weâre going to flip the perspective on book bans and censorship. Instead of sharing the head-shaking news, weâre going to share head-nodding ideas!
Maryland has joined nine other states in proposing legislation to define the parameters around book banning. In addition to providing âcomprehensive protection for workers,â it also seeks to protect materials in library collections, making destruction of library materials a misdemeanor offense. If passed, the Bill would go into effect 1 July 2024. Kelly has all the details here.
